Pro Feature Signaling

Pro-only options (like "All recent chats" and premium models) are now visible to all users with clear Pro indicators, so you can see what's available before upgrading:

Cleaner model labels: Premium models now show Pro · Model Name instead of [PRO] suffix
Consistent upgrade prompts: Upgrade links throughout the app use a gem icon and consistent styling

Cross-Project Chat Context (Pro)

Pro users can now search past conversations across all projects, not just the current one:

New dropdown: "Include context from previous chats" in Quick Actions with three options: None, This project, or All recent chats
All recent chats (Pro): Search relevant past conversations across all projects—results show which project each came from
Sticky preference: Your selection is remembered across sessions
Visual indicator: A green search pill appears in the chat input when cross-project search is active

Smarter Chat History Search

The AI can now find past conversations by topic, not just specific words:

Theme matching: Ask "What patterns keep coming up in my client work?" and it finds relevant discussions even if they used different vocabulary
Automatic summaries: Conversations are summarized after you finish chatting, making them searchable by theme

Smarter File Search

Better file search that understands what each file is about:

Semantic matching: Searches like "Who is the City Council President?" now find the right file even when the answer is buried in a long document
Automatic re-indexing: Editing a file's content triggers automatic re-indexing—no manual steps needed
Faster project setup: Re-attaching a file to a project no longer re-indexes it if already processed

Weekly Coach Report

Get AI-powered insights on your productivity with personalized weekly reports:

AI productivity coach: Analyzes your chat activity from the past 7 days with insights on what went well and suggestions for improvement
On-demand reports: Click "Weekly Coach" on the /chats page to generate a report anytime
Goal-aligned feedback: Set up your goals in Settings → App to get suggestions tied to what matters to you
Continuable conversations: Reports are saved as chats you can continue discussing
Weekly emails: Automatic coach reports every Monday morning (only if you had activity that week)

File Library Enhancements

New editing and organization features for your files:

Edit files in place: Click any file to update the filename, description, tags, and project associations
Edit text content: For text files (.txt, .md, .json, etc.), edit content directly in the preview modal
Sort your files: New sort dropdown—organize by Name (A-Z or Z-A) or Date (Newest or Oldest)
Project associations: File cards show which projects each file belongs to with clickable links
Filter by project: Show only files attached to a specific project

Unified File Tags

File tags now use the same shared tag system as prompts and chats:

Consistent filtering: Filter files by tags you've created anywhere in the app
Manage Tags button: Use the tag selector in file details to add/remove tags
Existing tags migrated: Your existing file tags were automatically migrated

Thinking Mode Auto-Enabled for Budget Models

Thinking mode is now automatically enabled when using budget models (Gemini Flash, GPT-5 Mini, DeepSeek, Llama Maverick):

Available to everyone: All users can use thinking mode on budget models—no Pro subscription required
"Auto" indicator: The Settings panel shows an "Auto" badge when thinking is enabled by default
Still customizable: Toggle thinking off manually if you prefer faster responses without reasoning

Starter Packs

Jump-start your prompt library with curated prompt collections:

Browse packs: Click the box icon (📦) in the Prompts header to discover pre-built prompt collections
One-click install: Install any pack to instantly add its prompts to your library
Private packs: Enter an access code to unlock exclusive packs
Reinstall anytime: Already installed a pack? Reinstall it to add prompts again

Project Name in Message Headers

AI message headers now show the project name for easier context tracking:

See context at a glance: Format is "PromptBlocks · ProjectName (Assistant / Style)"
Per-message tracking: Each message remembers which project it was sent from
Switching projects: Old messages show their original project, new messages show the current one

AI responses no longer include "Sources:" sections at the end. Project file context is still retrieved and used—the AI just doesn't cite it explicitly. This results in cleaner, more natural responses.

Chat Archive

Declutter your sidebar and project views by archiving chats you no longer need to see frequently:

Archive toggle: Click "Archive" in any chat's context menu to archive, or "Unarchive" to restore
Hidden from navigation: Archived chats disappear from the sidebar and project chat lists
Still accessible: View archived chats on /chats with the archive filter, or open them directly
Fully functional: Archived chats work normally—you can continue conversations

Better Code Block Rendering

AI responses containing markdown examples with nested code blocks now display correctly. When you ask the AI to show you markdown syntax or documentation examples, the formatting stays intact.

Tag Your Chats

Organize chats with tags, just like prompts:

Apply tags from any chat menu (sidebar, header, chat list, or project page)
Create new tags on the fly
Filter chats by tag on the /chats page
Tags appear as badges below chat titles

Message Drafts Auto-Save

Never lose what you were typing:

Unsent messages save automatically as you type
Survives page refreshes and browser restarts
Each chat remembers its own draft independently
Drafts expire after 7 days

Cleaner Chat Actions

The chat list on /chats now uses a compact three-dot menu instead of multiple inline buttons, matching the rest of the app.

Global Context

Add personal context that applies to every conversation:

Go to Settings → App Settings → Global Context
Enter information about yourself, your preferences, or your goals
The AI will remember this context in all your chats

Toggle between "Recent Chats" and "Recent Projects" views
Click a project to see its chats
Three-dot menu for project actions

AI responses now continue generating even if you leave the page:

Navigate away or lose connection—no problem
Return to the chat and streaming resumes automatically

The AI can now search your previous conversations for relevant context:

Works automatically when chatting in a project

Model Auto-Fallback

If your selected model is temporarily unavailable, the system automatically tries another model and tells you which one was used.

Search Message Content

The /chats search now looks inside messages, not just titles. Find any conversation by topic.

Faster File Uploads

Removed auto-generated descriptions, making uploads 2-5 seconds faster. You can still add descriptions manually.

Memory Timeline Events

When you ask the AI to remember something, a "Memory saved" divider appears in the chat with a link to view it. When automatic memory extraction runs, a "memories suggested" divider appears with a link to review them.

Copy Code Blocks

Code blocks in AI responses now have a copy button and show the language label.

Type While Streaming

Queue your next message while the AI is responding. Submit when ready.

Stop Streaming

Click the stop button to halt a response anytime. Partial content is saved.

Mobile Keyboard

On mobile, the Send button is now the only way to send (Enter adds a new line). Desktop unchanged.

Message Recovery

Never lose a response on unstable networks:

Partial responses are saved automatically if connection drops
Recovery banner appears when you return
Your messages are saved before the AI responds

RAG Source Citations

When the AI uses context from your project files, responses now cite which files were used. Click any source filename to preview the file.

File Preview

Click any file in the File Library to preview its contents without downloading. Supports text, markdown, PDFs, and images.

Streamlined Chat Settings

Model, Assistant, Style, Online Mode, and Thinking Mode moved to a dedicated Settings panel
Click the gear icon in the plus menu to open it
Subtle indicator text near Send shows your current settings
Project pill now opens "Move to Project" modal instead of removing

Export Chat to Markdown

Export any conversation to a markdown file—includes title, URL, date, project, and full conversation. Available from any chat menu.

Create Files from Pasted Text

The file upload modal now has a "Paste Text" tab. Paste any content, name it, and save as a file.

Redesigned Default Assistants

Five new professional assistants:

General Assistant — Adapts to any task
Writing Partner — Drafting, editing, refining
Research Analyst — Synthesizes information, structured findings
Creative Strategist — Brainstorming, ideation, strategy
Critical Reviewer — Stress-tests ideas, honest feedback

Your custom assistants are preserved.

Bookmarkable Chat Links

Each chat has a unique URL you can bookmark. Opening a bookmarked chat loads it directly.

Custom Communication Styles

Create your own styles in Settings → App Settings → My Styles. Edit or delete any style except the default "Neutral".

Paste Screenshots

Paste screenshots directly into chat (Cmd+V / Ctrl+V).

Chat Header Quick Actions

Quick access buttons in the header: Settings, Memory, Prompts, Compositions, and a chat menu for Rename, Copy, Move, Delete.

Full Chat Input on Project Pages

Project page input now matches the main chat page: model selection, modes, compositions, file attachments.

Drag and Drop Files

Drop files directly onto the chat area (up to 10 files, 10MB each). Supports images, PDFs, text, and markdown.

Filter the /chats page by project: All projects, No project, or a specific project.

Switching accounts now properly clears all cached data.

Groups Removed

Use tags instead—they're more flexible (one prompt can have multiple tags vs. belonging to one folder).

Improved Chat Actions

Chat cards show action buttons directly: Rename, Make a copy, Move to project, Delete.

Enhanced Export Context

Export Context now includes project name, description, attached files with descriptions, and memories.

Project Memory Improvements
